The DrOP IN

The 'Drop in' is a community inspired coffee morning which is open to everyone in the parish and beyond, to come and make friends and sample some delicious homemade cakes.  The Drop In is held every second Saturday in the month at Froxfield Village Hall from 10.30am to 12 noon.  For further information contact Joanna Farrell:  01730 828450.

SATURDAY DROP-IN

Welcome to the Froxfield and Privett Drop In!

On the second Saturday of the month throughout the year, copious cups of coffee and tea and plenty of delicious home-made cakes greet members of the local community at Froxfield Village Hall.  Started in January 2015, this community gathering for all ages has grown and grown, and while there is usually a core of regulars, it is encouraging to see others literally 'drop in' random months, whether for a quick cuppa, or for the duration.  The morning, which starts at 10.30am and finishes at 12 noon, is a wonderful opportunity for the local residents to get to know each other and their community.   In a rural community such as Froxfield and Privett, distance often keeps people apart both physically and socially.  A donation of £1.50 is suggested - not bad for bottomless cups and cake to match, with social catch-up and community strengthening thrown in for good measure.  While primarily for the Froxfield and Privett community, visitors from further afield are always welcome - as are well-behaved dogs.

The Drop In is an outreach initiative of the church in Froxfield and Privett which asks that Under 16s are accompanied by a responsible adult.  Over the years, jobs have been found, friendships made, interests shared and moral support given  - now that is community working at its best!  Any queries to Joanna Farrell (01730 828450).
