Village Hall Working Party – Round 3!

The hall's condition is improving! Thank you to everyone who helped at the January working party. Now, we’re inviting you to participate in the next phase!

Date & Time: Sunday, 9th February 2025 from 1pm to 5pm.

Everyone is welcome, whether you've joined us before or are new to the team!

The Plan! To tackle more decorating and repairs to the blinds, commence work on building a security cage around the boiler. A couple of team members will deal with things like replacing the kitchen fan louvre and hopefully blocking out the howling gale in the kitchen when the wind is in the west, saving a small fortune in heating costs!

Working Party Report - January 12, 2025

Another successful working party took place on Sunday, January 12. Twelve people came along to help with a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including decorating the porch, kitchen, and bar, adjusting automatic door closers, and replacing tiling in the toilets. We are making good progress on clearing the “To Do” list.

Contracts for more major works, such as replacing the emergency exit door in the main hall and replacing the carpet in front of the bar, have been let, and we aim to complete these items in the near future. In both cases, the work has been supported by a grant from the parish council.
